More SC outdoor wedding locations

The Corley Mill House and Gardens is another all inclusive venue. You can have the wedding outside by this gazebo, or indoors in the large hall area. The Wisteria around the gazebo in the spring and summer really makes the setting. They also have a large outdoor deck.
This location is very scenic, but at a wedding where I was a bridesmaid I was not pleased with the coordination. There is a small balcony at the front of the house and we had asked for it to be swept off the day before so that the bride could take photos on it, yet wedding day it was still covered in pollen and not cleaned at all. The day of the wedding it was raining, and as the driver ran each of the bridesmaids and bride up under an umbrella and to the front door, we discovered the front door was locked, and one bridesmaid had to run in the rain to the back door to get in. This may have all been a one time thing however, and the location really is lovely.

The River Road and Jasmine House can also be all inclusive. The wedding can be outside by one of the houses, and the reception outside on the side of the other house. There is a small pathway between the houses that leads to the parking lot. One house is normally used for the bride to change, and the other home is used for the reception. This place is very nice and the owner is very welcoming.

Saluda Shoals park in Irmo rents a gazebo next to The River Center building. You can rent the Gazebo by itself, or in conjunction with the building. There is a large open space of grass by the gazebo, so you could fit a LOT of chairs, or a tent off to the side of it. Inside the River Center would require more decorating than some of these other places, but the cost savings is tremendous. There is also a nice stone fireplace inside.

The Millstone at Adams Pond is another of my favorite locations. It seems way out there as it's a bit of a drive past the stadium, but once you are there it feels very secluded. You can have your wedding in front of the pond in front of the house, or on the patio behind the house. There are two rooms upstairs where the bride and groom can get ready. I LOVE the exposed brick as it looks great in pictures and I love that speak easy feel. There are a lot of great photo opportunities here with the balcony, pond, and bridge. Besides the drive to get there, there were two other downsides for me. Since this location is owned by another catering company, you must go with them, and they were out of my price range. They also required that you hire a guard at the entrance because of the area it's in. Besides all of that, it's really a fantastic venue.

403 North Lake is a home and garden in Lexington, SC. This location is all inclusive and you have a choice of the home and garden or the carriage house and garden. The image on there website shows room for an outdoor tent as well.

The Springdale House and Gardens in West Columbia does not have much information available online. This image is on their blog with a phone number for more information.

The Palmetto Collegiate Institute in Lexington is a great deal for a low cost venue if you are a resident. The renovated building was a school from 1881 until 1911, so if you are looking for a historic venue this one will certainly fit. There is a cute gazebo on the grounds, and they provide a tent for an additional fee (which is much much less than a rental company).

If you thought The Springdale House had little information online, get ready for Crystal Lake Celebration Hall. The website does not work, and this link is the little information I can find. This is for a small wedding or reception as the limit is 85 people. It states that there is an indoor and outdoor area, but this is the only image I could find and it was on an angelfire page with no other information but the company name.

Taylor Plantation is hidden in Lexington, SC. Once you turn on to the road to the house, it makes you feel like you're driving in Charleston. The trees on either side of the road cover the road way as you drive in. There is a pond with lots of land where you can have an outdoor wedding. They have an indoor area with a side enclosed porch. They do not have a website, but you can contact them through their Facebook page.

There are many other locations available if you are only looking for a reception hall. The state museum, hotels, and convention center all provide rooms for receptions. I have just listed the locations for those brides who want the wedding and reception all in one place. Feel free to leave comments about any of these locations, or if you have any more to add! I also have many diy decoration ideas on Pinterest if you want to check them out.

DIY Halloween Costumes- Isabela from Encanto

I found a ton of cute lavender dresses a’la Isabela from Encanto. I started with tulle to give the princess feel, and also included more comfortable options. You can get away with just the flower behind your ear, but I think the added ones throughout the hair are more Isabela. I added two options, but Shein does have many options for hair flowers.  Oh and use my  code  at Shein for 10% off your order! The first 3 dresses are Shein sizes  2-12.  This first dress definitely will make you feel like a princess! These shoes are the most accurate to the cosplay as well. Tulle Dress   Mary Jane Ballet Flats     Large Flower hair clips   Small Flower hair clips Dress option 2 is more casual and looks so comfy. You could wear this more often after displaying. As it’s more casual, I also added more casual flats.    Off Shoulder Ruffle Dress   Lavender Flats   2nd Option mini flower hair clips   Large Flower hair clips Halloween costumes always have a short sexy option, right? A short tulle flor

90s Style Categories

Denim, tie dye, backward baseball caps, bright colors, overalls, and knee highs are just some of the things that remind most people of the 90s.  I'm horrified when I look back at most pictures I have as a child, as I dressed more like Nickelodeon's Clarissa and Alex Mack instead of like the more trendy 90s styles. I wore tshirts with denim shorts and overalls quite often. One thing I miss about those days is the comfort. I was not aware of most of the 90s fashions that were available at the time (hey we didn't have internet yet) and I basically wore whatever my parents bought me. It was nice to be able to dress for comfort! Kids nowadays seem to be beyond their years and dress much older than their age. I've been thinking of having a 90s party this year, and this time perhaps I'll actually dress in a different 90s style that I never wore when I was younger. I'm breaking down some of the styles into categories below. These are categories in my mind
